Tip for surviving Lent!

Hello again, friends! Have you ever made a promise for the season of Lent and broke it about over 10 times? I have every year. Well, this year, I have made a table of things I am going off and things i am going on. I have many promises this year so the table will come in handy and hopefully will keep me motivated. I'm not really a religious person but I find Lent helpful in order to achieve something you've longed for for a while now e.g that flat stomach, those toned arms...you get me?

Basically, in the y axis of the table, write down what you are going on/off and along the x axis, write the day number. If you don't use A3 pages you may need to use 2 A4 sheets instead. Rule out lines and be creative with it if you want. Mines is all colourful and fun!

Each day that you stick by your promise leave a tick, or if you're feeling really childish, stick a gold sticker in the box. For any promises you broke put an X in the box. Use an X as some form of 'beneficial punishment'. I have decided that each X equals 5 second planks. And I don't mean planks as in just lying flat on the ground. I'm talking about the type when you balance yourself on the floor via your elbows and feet. Its excruciating! At the end of each week, I will count how many X's I have and plank for how many seconds they add up to. Hey, in the end up, it is kind of beneficial!

This year I have gone on and off many things. If you are stuck for ideas of what you'll do this year then heres a list of what I shall be doing.

  • Eat an apple a day
  • Drink a glass of water a day
  • Exercise everyday
  • Listen to the radio in the morning instead of listening to music.
  • No alcohol
  • No cursing
  • Take stairs
  • No chicken boxes* or meals similiar

I think that is about it! If you guys wanna try any of these then go ahead! You can have more than one Lent promise!

Until next time, bro-chachos!

*Chicken Box - Northern Irish meal consisting of chicken, chips, cheese, coleslaw, taco sauce, chilli sauce and garlic mayo. HEART ATTACK SPECIAL!
